Support free lessonsEvery Music With Mark lesson is free for every player. It's paid for by people who choose to chip in, and by brand partners as they come on board. Support is optional, and it never unlocks a lesson: everyone gets everything. How the free lessons work.
I got my start on this instrument because people shared what they knew with me, and they didn't ask for anything back. That's how this music has always moved: one player to the next, porch to porch.
So the lessons are free. All of them. Dobro first, then lap steel, then mandolin and banjo, each one a full series from your first tuning to the stuff that makes a room go quiet. Cost should never be the reason somebody doesn't learn to play.
Making them still costs real money: cameras, strings, studio time at The Bear Den, editing and video hosting, and the hours it takes to get a lesson right. That's where supporters come in. Players and fans who chip in a few bucks a month, plus brands who believe in this as they come on board, keep the whole thing running. Nobody has to pay to learn. If the lessons help you and you've got it to give, this is how you pass it on.
